This Privacy Policy explains how Nontoxic Certified Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the State of New York and operating as MADEWORKS Intelligence ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit MADEWORKS-intelligence.org (the "Site").
We publish research on substances used in consumer products. We are aware that people come to our Site because they are concerned about their health, their families, or their products, and that the act of reading our research can itself reveal something personal. We have designed our data practices around that.
This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use.
2. Our commitments
Plainly stated, and before the detail:
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not use advertising or remarketing pixels on this Site. We do not build advertising audiences from what you read here, and we do not use remarketing to show you advertisements elsewhere on the internet based on the research you have viewed.
- We do not use what you read on this Site to infer health conditions, and we do not share browsing behavior with data brokers or advertising networks.
- We collect the minimum we need to run the Site and to communicate with people who have asked to hear from us.
3. Information we collect

If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address and any name you choose to provide.
If you contact us through the Site or by email, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us in your message.
If you make a donation, our payment processor, Give Lively LLC, collects your payment details directly. We receive your name, email address, mailing address, and donation amount, but we do not receive or store your full card number or bank details.
If you enquire about certification for a product or brand, we collect the contact and company information you provide.
We do not require you to provide any personal information in order to read the Content on this Site.
3.2 Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers record certain technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and the referring website.

5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
